So in the thread where we went through my amazing well cured list of great bookos to read that surely didn't have but a small dud or two at most, one of the books mentioned was Mostly Harmless by the author often confused with my good self, probably due to my genius i imagine.

SOOO! the answer is i've been reading book 5! and i gotta tell ya. i'm pretty sure this past self who thought my even more past self was an idiot but also an idiot who hadn't read book 5, was correct!! at least, nothing in this book is remotely familiar. well regarding the plot. it's all very familiar as far as it being douglas adams and so there is towels and the hitchhikers guide is like a book in there that they use n stef. and there is aliens and time travel and stuff, but that's in all his books so i dun think that counts! :stuburn:
but yeah. i'm about 2/3 through this harmless booko and it's not too bad. i'm reminded why i ran out of steam for ol adams here. but i think it's better cuz it's been so long since i've been bludgeoned by his crazy style of writing and humor.

the book is short and sweet, but i am long and hard baby!@# 
i guess arthur, who i think was the original character who got taken off earth to go flip flappin across teh universen, is on some dumb planet and he's a sandwich maker. and then some lady. i don't recall if i'm supposed to know who the hell she is from past bookos or what. but anyway, she drops off his daughter that he didn't even make in this universen maybe. oh wait, that's right. it was from a sperm bank. so he didn't even get to town this chick to make this horrible girl! and she's called random i think. and she's pretty horrible. and she steals his package and goes to open it in a forest where he crashed on teh planet.
i think that somes it up. oh. the package is teh new guide from some guy who also i don't know if i'm supposed to know from other books or what. i think so. i forget his name. but he's who mailed the package to arthur.
i guess i felt like you needed a recap after that horrible slap in the face of this post intro!

i'm trying to remember where time goes and i think it flies arounf and then gets warped by a giant pizza. but i don't recall anything about where it goes. i guess behind us. i bet it is really stinky back there!
i read some more and teh answer is it was ford prefect! i don't remember who that character is doe. i guess he and arthur dun get along. that much is clear from this book i'm reading, not from any memory of mine. this ford character has done all kinds of stuff in this book and i still don't know who the fuck he's supposed to be! :hyuper:
also, finished the book. i think the universe ended. except for the vogons maybe? i'm not sure i got it. :B

that's the only way to listen to it i think. at most making a half hearted jkgay face. but that probably just provokes them. stephen hawking said its pear shaped but i dun no how he came to that conclusion and i'm not sure i believe him. maybe it isn't a shape at all how about that! it's just everywhere at all the times! and also smells. ;dunno; was ford the guy who he first met way back at the beginning? for some reason i'm thinking that. the one who got him all wrapped up in this in teh first place. |

at most making a half hearted jkgay face. but that probably just provokes them. yeah. i think you can completely fake enthusiasm and even tho they know that you are faking, that's completely acceptable and really the only thing they expect. well, i think when he says it's pear shaped he's giving it a close to 3 dimensional comparison but in actuality it doesn't have a shape. but i dun recall specifically. but for sure if ur talking about past times, they stink! that sounds right. arthur was none too pleased to see him.
anyway, at least i can call this crap done with! :whew:
